Set within the stone arches of Dubrovnik’s historic Lazareti by the sea, beside the UNESCO-listed Old City walls, Klub Lazareti has long been home to DJ nights and club culture. Today we’re evolving into an events venue—indoors and open-air—for weddings, corporate celebrations and private parties. We keep the heartbeat of our nightlife while adding seamless planning, creative production and attentive service. LAZARETI
Klub Lazareti makes its home inside Dubrovnik’s Lazareti, embedding our cultural, music and event programs within a uniquely preserved monument of public health and maritime trade. The Lazareti are a 17th-century quarantine complex created by the Republic of Ragusa to protect the city from epidemics while keeping commerce open. Arriving merchants and travellers from the Adriatic, the Levant and the Balkan hinterland would pass through here with their goods, spending a set number of days in controlled isolation. Documents were checked, cargo was aired and fumigated, and movement was carefully organized—an early, rigorously managed system that balanced safety with exchange.
Architecturally, the complex is a sequence of robust parallel stone halls and vaulted rooms, unfolding across stepped courtyards and terraces that look toward the sea near the Ploče Gate. Thick masonry, secure gates and disciplined circulation routes speak to its former purpose; the measured rhythm of arches and roofs gives the ensemble a calm, enduring character. Today the Lazareti are protected as part of Dubrovnik’s UNESCO-listed historic fabric, the stone bearing traces of centuries of work, vigilance and hospitality.
Within this heritage setting, Klub Lazareti animates the spaces with contemporary life—concerts, exhibitions, performances and bespoke private, corporate and wedding events. By welcoming new ideas under old arches, we continue the site’s civic spirit: once safeguarding the city’s wellbeing, now cultivating culture, connection and celebration.
